Opportunities From: Midland Care Connection

Help on the Butterfly Release Team. You'll help manage butterfly warming and distribution for the closing ceremony. Some standing and walking and light lifting might be required. 

Using the microphone at the podium, take turns solemnly read names from the printed list provided to honor the memory of loved ones lost. 

Assist the Bereavement Center team with guests in Joanie's Garden. You'll help with craft projects and listen and talk with guests. Training or background in bereavement support is preferred. 

Prepare, set up, and manage the luminaries for 2026 Celebration Walk. There are many tasks and timeframes involved with this project; your team leader will contact you to place and schedule you according to your interests, abilities, and availability.

Work in the Children's Area as a Face Painter

Assist in the Welcome Center Tent for 2026 Celebration Walk by supporting guests with donations, t-shirt sales, luminary donations, maps, wheelchairs, and general questions. You'll be standing with light lifting. 

Assist in providing warm hospitality in the VIP Tent for 2026 Celebration Walk. Greet guests, keep area tidy and food and beverages stocked.

Allow guests with printed parking passes to enter campus. All others you'll politely direct to our public parking areas. This requires standing the entire shift behind traffic cones in high-visibility vests to maintain your safety. 

Set up and maintain the Hospitality Room area for 2026 Celebration Walk. You'll greet guests, maintain tidiness, and keep the food and drink stocked.  

Set up and staff table with items to show appreciation to our veterans.

Help in the Children's Area for the 2026 Celebration Walk by providing a fun, safe area with crafts, coloring, and face painting.
